Awana (Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed, 2Tim. 2:15), the internationally recognized biblically based children’s ministry, is one of the pillars of our approach to student discipleship at First Baptist. With a clear, consistent presentation of the gospel, using Bible memorization as a cornerstone, in a fun and engaging atmosphere, Awana seeks to produce the leaders of tomorrow by reaching the youth of today.
Each Wednesday night at 6:30 pm during the school year, our Awana group meets in the Church’s Ministry Center. Staffed by enthusiastic volunteers from First Baptist, Awana is open to children in kindergarten to 6th grade. For more information on the Awana ministry visit www.awana.org
